You have made the decision to restore and repair your door properly.
We do all the work on-site and our Multi-step process allows you to repair your entryway door for much less than a replacement door will cost.
We start by removing the lockset.
We start by removing the lockset. You can’t have a clean finish trying to sand and stain around existing hardware. We then remove the door from the hinges. Finally, we seal off the entryway to keep the outside air, temperatures, and bugs from entering your home
We place the door on sawhorses and begin preparing the surface.
We use a combination of techniques…hand scraping, hand sanding and rotary sanding…all performed by skilled craftsmen who have worked on more than 300 doors.
Once the door is prepped, we hang the door back on the hinges, and then consult with you on the color.
In most instances we use an oil-based sealing stain that offers great UV and weather protection. If you are looking for a more custom color, we can add pigments to the stain to achieve that vision. After allowing the first coat 24-48 hours to dry, we do a final light sand, tack off the sanding dust and apply the final coat of stain.
The result is a beautifully restored door that has great UV and weather protection like finish.
We then automatically enter you in our annual maintenance reminder program so you should never have to go through this extensive process again. Maintenance is a much easier and less expensive process that you may undertake or have us do the work.
